B’nai Sholom welcomes you, or your whole family, for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and beyond. We’ve made it easier than ever for guests to join us for our meaningful and joyous services. In keeping with our “warm and welcoming” culture, we are opening High Holy Day services to all, offering complimentary tickets.
Our highly participatory Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services combine traditional Jewish prayers and creative renderings, using a gender-sensitive prayer book attuned to modern Reform Judaism. We like to sing, too, and we hope you’ll join in! We use harp, guitar, and sometimes just our voices. Though there’s plenty of Hebrew, our services are conducted mostly in English. We do our best to ensure everyone’s comfort by providing translation and transliteration for all the Hebrew in our prayer books. And, we can guarantee you’ve never heard shofar sounds as vibrant as those you’ll hear at B’nai Sholom!
Whether you join us every week, haven’t been to a synagogue in a while, or haven’t ever been, B’nai Sholom Reform Congregation will satisfy your craving for meaningful worship during these Days of Awe, led by our spiritual leader, Rabbi Don Cashman.
At B’nai Sholom, we provide food for your soul and your belly. We have a reception following erev Rosh Hashanah services, you can join us for lunch the following afternoon, and we break the Yom Kippur fast together, following the concluding service.
We also offer babysitting for very young children and a service for elementary school-age children, but we will need a few week’s notice to assure adequate child care coverage.
